Kalpitiya gives you an opportunity to watch hundreds of dolphins swimming alongside and diving under your boat. Anuradhapura should not be missed on your travel route if you want to taste something of the rich history of Sri Lanka. Anuradhapura is probably not only the oldest city in Sri Lanka, but was also the most important city for centuries. Minneriya National Park is also known as ‘The Gathering’. In this park you will find the largest gathering of Asian elephants in the world. Sigiriya literally means “lion’s rock” and is of volcanic origin. Dambulla is best known for the Golden Temple. The rock temples of Dambulla have been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1991 and are the largest, best-preserved cave temple complex in Sri Lanka.

Day 1: Kalpitiya – Anuradhapura
Itinerary this day:
Embark on a thrilling marine adventure as we pick you up from your hotel or airport and journey through Chilaw and Puttalam to the coastal town of Kalpitiya.
Board a boat and set sail on the open ocean, where you’ll have the opportunity to witness the playful antics of Spinner dolphins, the most common dolphin species in the area. You may also encounter Bottlenose, Risso’s, Indo-Pacific, and even Humpback dolphins.
Please note that dolphin watching is best enjoyed between October and May. For tours between May and October, we depart at 6:30 AM.
After this unforgettable marine encounter, we’ll venture into the vast wilderness of Wilpattu National Park, a haven for wildlife enthusiasts. Hop into a jeep and embark on a thrilling safari, searching for elusive leopards, majestic elephants, crocodiles, deer, sloth bears, and a diverse array of bird species.
As the sun begins to set, we’ll return to our hotel, filled with cherished memories of our wildlife encounters and marine adventures.
Day 2: Anuradhapura – Minneriya
Itinerary this day:
After a delicious breakfast, we’ll embark on a journey to the ancient city of Anuradhapura, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Immerse yourself in the rich history and spirituality of this ancient kingdom, exploring its magnificent ruins and sacred sites.
Visit the Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi, a sacred fig tree believed to be a sapling of the original Bodhi tree under which Buddha attained enlightenment. Marvel at the towering Jethawanaramaya Stupa, one of the largest ancient brick structures in the world.
Explore the Abhayagiri Dagaba, a massive stupa with intricate carvings and ancient ruins. Admire the serene beauty of the Samadhi Buddha Statue, a masterpiece of ancient Sri Lankan sculpture.
After our cultural exploration, we’ll head to the Minneriya National Park, a wildlife sanctuary renowned for its large herds of elephants. Embark on a thrilling safari, witnessing these majestic creatures in their natural habitat, along with other wildlife such as deer, water buffalo, and a variety of bird species.
As the day draws to a close, we’ll return to our hotel, filled with cherished memories of our historical and wildlife adventures.
Day 3: Sigiriya – Dambulla
Itinerary this day:
After a delicious breakfast, we’ll embark on a journey to the ancient rock fortress of Sigiriya. Ascend the iconic Lion Rock, a breathtaking climb that rewards you with panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.
Once you reach the summit, you’ll have the option to take an unforgettable elephant ride, offering a unique perspective of the ancient ruins and the lush greenery below.
After this extraordinary experience, we’ll head to the vibrant city of Dambulla. Explore the bustling local market, a sensory delight filled with colorful fruits, spices, and local handicrafts.
Visit the world-famous Dambulla Cave Temple, a network of five caves adorned with stunning frescoes and over 150 Buddha statues, a testament to Sri Lanka’s rich cultural heritage.
As the day draws to a close, we’ll return to the airport or hotel, filled with cherished memories of our cultural and historical adventures.
