Day 1: Galle – Tissamaharama
Itinerary this day:
Embark on a captivating journey as we pick you up from your hotel or airport and head towards the coastal town of Bentota.
Board a traditional boat and cruise along the serene Madu River, a labyrinth of canals and waterways, where you’ll encounter diverse ecosystems and local communities.
After this tranquil boat trip, we’ll journey to Kosgoda, a coastal gem renowned for its turtle conservation efforts. Visit the Turtle Hatchery, where you can witness the fascinating process of sea turtle conservation and learn about these majestic creatures.
Our next stop is the historic city of Galle, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore the fortified city of Galle Fort, a marvel of Dutch colonial architecture, and wander through its charming streets, discovering ancient churches, museums, and colonial-era buildings.
As the day draws to a close, we’ll witness the unique spectacle of stilt fishermen, a traditional fishing method that has been practiced for centuries.
After this unforgettable experience, we’ll journey along the scenic coastal highway to Tissamaharama, where we’ll check into our hotel.
Day 2: Yala – Ella
Itinerary this day:
Rise early, around 5:30 AM, as we embark on a thrilling wildlife safari to Yala National Park. This renowned park is home to a diverse array of wildlife, including elusive leopards, majestic elephants, crocodiles, sloth bears, and a variety of bird species.
After an exhilarating safari, we’ll journey to the ancient Buddhist temple complex of Buduruwagala. Marvel at the awe-inspiring seven colossal statues carved into the rock face, a testament to Sri Lanka’s rich cultural heritage.
Our next stop is the picturesque town of Ella, where we’ll witness the stunning Ella Falls, a cascading waterfall that plunges into a serene pool.
Explore the charming town of Ella, taking in its breathtaking scenery and colonial-era architecture. Trek to the iconic Nine Arch Bridge, a stunning railway viaduct, and ascend Little Adam’s Peak for panoramic views of the surrounding valleys.
Immerse yourself in the world of tea at the Halpewatte Tea Factory, where you’ll learn about the tea-making process and savor a cup of freshly brewed Ceylon tea.
As the day draws to a close, we’ll return to our hotel, filled with unforgettable memories of our wildlife encounters, cultural experiences, and natural beauty.
Day 3: Ella – Kitulgala
Itinerary this day:
After a delicious breakfast, we’ll embark on a scenic train journey from Ella to Nanu Oya, winding through picturesque landscapes of rolling hills, lush tea plantations, and misty mountains.
Upon arrival in Nuwara Eliya, we’ll explore the charming hill station, visiting its iconic landmarks and soaking in its serene atmosphere.
Next, we’ll venture to the breathtaking Devon and St. Clair Falls, where we can admire the cascading waters and the lush greenery surrounding them.
Our adventure continues in Kitulgala, a paradise for adventure enthusiasts. Experience the thrill of white-water rafting on the Kelani River, navigating exhilarating rapids and immersing yourself in the natural beauty of the surrounding rainforest.
For those seeking a more leisurely experience, we offer flat-water rafting, a gentle float down the river, perfect for families with young children.
For the adrenaline junkies, we also offer waterfall abseiling, a thrilling descent down the cascading waters, providing an unforgettable adventure.
As the day comes to a close, we’ll return to your hotel or airport, filled with cherished memories of our exciting adventures.
